I participated as a member of several committees within the French scientific community:

1. •Elected member of the CNU (1989-1990), the National Concil of French Universities.
   

2. •Designated member of the CNU (91-92), the National Concil of French Universities.
   

3. • Elected member of the CNU (2004-2006), the National Concil of French Universities.
   

4. • Member of the GE4 Experts Group at the French Ministry of Education and Research (1996-1998).
   

5. • Member of the Directory Board of STIC/RTP9, the CNRS Thematic Network on Databases and Distributed Information.
   

6. •Member, since 1998 of the BDA Committee, the steering committee of the national French conference on Databases.
   

7. •Expert memeber of different evaluation committees of the french research laboratories (LIMOS, ERIC, LAMSAD).
   

8. •Expert reviewer of many ANR projects (programme Masses de données, programme Contint, programme Blanc).

4. •Memeber of several expert commissions (CSE) of different universities (Univ. of Versailles, Univ. of Evry, Univ. René Descartes, CNAM) during several years.
